Vegetarian Restaurant Review – Shahee Bhel Puri House, London UK

0

The Shahee Bhel Puri House is an Indian restaurant located in London that concentrates on making the highest quality vegetarian and vegan Indian food. It has been around for a few years and built up quite a following amongst vegetarians both in London and across the UK. Always busy it offers a aromatic and sensual dining experience and is well worth a visit if you planning a trip to London. The food is consistently great and the owner and staff are always there to welcome you like old friends and make sure you enjoy your visit.

The food is the real star of course and what food! Quite simply the best Indian and the best veggie food in London. The entire menu is vegetarian and about three quarters of it is vegan too. Some of the best starters I have ever had are served here, from the gorgeous dosas to the chilled starters such as their Dahi Vada and the Thalis. When it comes to main courses for me there is only one dish (though others would disagree) – their Bombay Aloo is the greatest and most delicious I have ever tasted; but the Mutter Paneer runs it a close second. For good value head there on Sunday for the lunch buffet where you can eat as much as you want for only £5. The buffet includes cold and hot starters and a full selection of dosas, rices, side dishes and main dishes as well as one sweet. An absolute bargain although you’ll need to get there early – it’s extremely popular!
